Kuhlekonke Holdings (Pty) Ltd , trading as KK Consulting (‘KK’) is a South African company with a consulting and advisory track record of over ten years in the downstream oil,
gas and energy sector. Our experience spans the exploration, refining, wholesaling
and distribution of petrochemicals both locally and through imports. The
company has presence in refining and petroleum fuels infrastructure, advisory as well as the
trading of petroleum products.
The company’s directors and partners have a combined experience of more than 80 years in the sector – in different executive roles as CEOs, Directors and Managers. Dr Thabo Kgogo has been an executive leader for more than 10 years in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction Sectors. He rose through the ranks at PetroSA to become a Vice President – Operations and COO.
Under his leadership the business delivered massive projects on time within budget, hit record high Health, Environment, Safety and Quality standards, successfully implemented ISO 9001 across operations. Dr Kgogo oversaw a turnaround program – which resulted in sustainable improvements in performance for the business and operations.
In 2014, he joined a JSE listed entity Efora Energy Ltd – as a CEO. Amongst many achievements, he;

- Developed a new strategy for the organisation, leading to an integrated oil and gas company with focus in Africa; increased turnover from R0 to R3 billion
- Developed the company’s governance structures, policies and procedures
- Re-structured the portfolio of assets, which led to the company focussing on low risk acquisitions such as downstream and midstream oil and gas assets
- Completed transformational acquisitions for the company which led to the company generating cash flow and adding petroleum reserves
- Stabilized the organisation after the sudden departure of the CEO and CFO
- Substantially reduced staffing and operational costs
- Renegotiated toll road contracts with SANRAL
- Concluded the sale of assets to the value of R792 million, with the proceeds to be used to reduce the company’s debt levels
- Worked closely with the Business rescue practitioners on the rescue plan for the subsidiary in business rescue (Group Five Construction Pty Ltd)

Ticha is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in auditing and corporate finance.

- Worked closely with the Business rescue practitioners on the rescue plan for the subsidiary in business rescue (Group Five Construction Pty Ltd)
- He was the Project Leader at Nedbank for an equity and debt capital raise mandate for an investment holding company. He led a team which assisted the client in raising capital to acquire an equity interest in a listed South African mining operation.
- He was the Project Leader at Nedbank for a sell-side advisory mandate for a South African investment holding company. Our role was to assist the business in the disposal of their interest in a South African manufacturer and distributor of fibre optic cable.
- He was the Project Leader at Nedbank for an advisory mandate for a South African IT-focussed investment holding company. Our role was to assist the client with debt and equity capital raising for a proposed delisting of a JSE company.
- He was the Team Leader for PwC who acted as transaction advisers to Telkom SOC Limited for the acquisition of Business Connexion Limited.
- He was the Team Leader for PwC who acted as transaction advisers to Allied Electronics Corporation Limited on a proposed empowerment restructuring exercise.
- He trained as a chartered accountant, and previously worked as an internal and external auditor as well as heading up the financial management team at a private business, before moving into corporate finance.

Daniel has more than 20 years in in Project & General Management roles. Daniel has managed a combined projects budget of more than R10 Billion in his exciting project management life. All of these projects were in the Oil and Gas sector.
Daniel has unparalleled depth in the project management in the hydrocarbons space and has managed to drive projects towards effectively and efficiently to achieve desired results on time and within budget.

- As a Projects Director at Vopak, he managed a R5 Billion rand project to build an import terminal in Durban and Inland terminal at Lesedi. He has also been at the forefront of local community engagement and consultations to stop public unrests. He also been a South African conduit into the group on all technical matters.
- At Worley Parsons, he directed the project to build a gas pipeline in Tanzania. Here he was accountable for the complete delivery of the project including engagements with Government, Funders, Communities and Shipping agents and authorities. The project budget was R1.2 Billion rand.
